• Pigments & Lightfastness: The paints are made using high quality pigments. Mission Gold watercolours are tested for lightfastness; many colours have excellent to very good ratings, helping artworks retain their vibrancy over time.

• No Thickening Agents: Unlike some cheaper paints, these avoid gummy thickeners which can degrade the colour’s clarity or cause uneven drying. This helps maintain brightness and smooth blending.

• Excellent Dispersion & Solvency: The paints re-wet well, flow easily and evenly with water. Even from dry spots or palettes, brushing with water effectively revives the paint.

• Colour Transparency & Mixing: The palette offers a mix of warm & cool colours, earth tones and mid-tones, enabling good mixing flexibility. Transparent and semi-transparent colours are included.

Things to Keep in Mind

• Some colours may be mixtures of pigments rather than pure single-pigment shades, which can affect the behaviour (granulation, transparency, etc.).

• Very bright or vivid colours (especially violets or neons) may have lower lightfastness than more traditional earth or blue tones. If making work for sales or long display, check the specific colour ratings.

• 7 ml is good, but heavy users of a particular colour may run out faster.
